I want to tell my story!  How does a Sunrise Sunset Documentary work?

From beginning to end, you’re an important part of the documentary creation.  We’ll walk you through deciding what to talk about, who will be interviewed, as well as helping choose photos, videos and other images, in addition to Sunrise Sunset’s vast resources of local and period images and music.

Your interviews are the heart of your family heirloom.  Owner Natalie Bauman’s years of experience conducting videos interviews will help you feel comfortable and natural on camera.  We shoot at your home, your backyard or other location, using professional lights, camera and audio equipment, and a small crew who’ll treat your home with respect.  Together we’ll unravel and capture your history, the emotion, and the depth that will then serve as the narration to your piece.  And if you’re a little camera shy, we also provide an audio-only interview that can be used to narrate your video instead.

Each project is customized to your needs, so you don’t pay for a service that doesn’t matter to you, but instead, get something that works perfectly for your event, or just for your own family’s enjoyment and reminiscing.

Before the project begins, we’ll provide a checklist for you to help define what the video should include, and then price it out.  Once the budget is established, you won’t see any additional charges, unless you choose to add something, and any price change is agreed upon.  We want to make sure you’re thrilled with your Sunrise Sunset Documentary, and that includes receiving a good value for your money.

We believe strongly that everyone has a story to tell, and we are glad to work closely with retirement communities, assisted living facilities, community and religious organizations to ensure that there is an option available that fits any budget.  We’re proud to be part of preserving the stories of this important generation, sharing their values, their beliefs, their lessons learned and their history with future generations.
